The Giving Tree Band

With nothing to prove and only something sincere to share, The Giving Tree Band love what they do and approach their craft like a sacred art. This includes tuning all their instruments precisely sharp in order to access hidden yet wonderfully potent tones that trace back to an ancient mythology of healing and miracles. Unlike standard tuning, their musical strings vibrate in alignment with natural cycles of the Earth and Moon, and this frequency of love coupled with a message of harmony resonate the heart strings of many thousands of people from all walks of life.  This musical experience is an opportunity to find more balance and deepen one’s relationship with all life.

Like A Freight Train was released on April 7, 2015 and this new live album embodies the Illinois band's imaginative American rock 'n roll with their finest songwriting and musical versatility on display. It features past favorites, new originals and soulful covers of songs by musical influences and legendary artists The Who, Grateful Dead, and Jackson Browne.  Powered by gratitude, the GTB train is full-steam ahead

The Seventh Sons

Calling Chicago their home, The Seventh Sons actually put the miles on to bring their talents together. Individually situated in Oswego, Plainfield, and Homewood the travel time is well worth the end result. This 3-piece band locks in and takes off on organic and fluid jams using originals, classics, and B sides as spring boards in and out of these jams. They will often serve up some tasty jamwiches live by sandwiching songs between others. The Sons are just as comfortable belting out some heavy driving music in a biker bar as they are playing Dead standards to their hippie friends at a back yard party, or getting lost in trippy jams that are made up on the spot. All three members have the freedom to create on the fly and take songs in different directions, but their ability to follow each other is what keeps the organic jams fluid. Seventh Sons originals draw from reggae influenced beats, funky wha leads, and dirty blues heavy grooves. For some reason a little Dead and a little Doors always seem to make it into the set with an occasional drum circle igniting for a finale. Accessible and available before and after shows, the Sons come out to hang with the people they are playing with, and for, and above all they come to have a good time and to share the music they love with old friends and new ones!
